I ask for one thing only.
Just a little thing, fragile,
and folded up in lace, white lace.
Pulling the ribbon I'll loose the wrapping to find
The most precious thing a friend can give a friend
When fear or failing has friendship tarnish├ęd:
The gift of doubt.

That is lovely. Your poetry always comes across as comfort to me.

Are those Mumford lyrics in the picture? Maybe I should listen to them more often. :)

Hi Jenn :-)

yes, one of the most beautiful lines from the song 'After the Storm'.

Another good reason to listen to Mumford is their literary roots...the songs on their album allude to Shakespeare's 'Much Ado About Nothing' and 'MacBeth', and others reference John Steinbeck's novels 'East of Eden, 'Grapes of Wrath,' and 'Of Mice and Men.'
